The coalition of Arewa youths that issued a quit notice to all Igbos living in the northern parts of the country to leave latest October 1 has withdrawn the notice, reducing the tension that has gripped the nation for some time now. The groups announced the suspension of the quit notice order on Thursday at a press briefing at the Transcorp hotel, Abuja. The decision followed series of meetings the youth groups have had in recent times with Northern Governors Forum under the leadership of Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, and Igbo leaders in the North among others. Though they suspended the quit notice, they however gave a condition under which they will totally call off the notice.
