‘Saboteurs’ did not want us to meet with Buhari – CAN respond to critics

The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Ayokunle, has described as saboteurs those who attempted to prevent the association from paying congratulatory visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.   Ayokunle spoke to State House correspondents after the leadership of CAN visited President Buhari at the State House, Abuja, yesterday as he dismissed allegations that pressure was mounted on CAN leaders to congratulate the president on his re-election.   “Saboteurs didn’t want us to come here (Aso Rock); we are old enough to know what to do and what not to do. If somebody like me after 60 years of age will be under pressure, then it means that my life will never have meaning again.   But by the grace of God we have a meaningful life, I know what to do. By God’s grace, He has prepared me well for this assignment. So, those detractors and politicians in cassock should go and find better job to do.’’ He said. 'I've learnt my lessons' - Blood-soaked voter who survived election violence in Kano State shares experience

One of the voters who was attacked in Kano State during Saturday's supplementary elections, Nasir Mansur Mohammed says he doesn’t think the “fraud called elections in Nigeria” is worth dying for. Mohammed was attacked by thugs weilding weapons when he went to cast his vote at Santulma Primary School polling unit in Gama Ward. According to his account, he was saved by “good Samaritans” and taken to the hospital where he spent three hours in admission.   In his words: “ Alhamdulillah. I survived. I was violently attacked by thugs at Santulma Primary School polling unit at Gama Ward in Kano today Saturday. I was saved by the grace of God and some good Samaritans, who also took me to Gwagwarwa hospital, where I was admitted for three hours, stitched and discharged. Is the fraud called elections in Nigeria worth dying for? I don’t think so. Lessons learnt.”

''I’m not cloned'' Governor El-Rufai says

Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has refuted rumors that he is cloned. Governor El-Rufai who returned from his vacation abroad last week, was reacting to allegation generated from his opponents that he was involved in a fatal accident while he was away and that he was cloned. The Governor said this at a welcome reception organised for him at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House on Friday night “I was never involved in any accident and no driver died. I was also not in coma. Let me start by thanking you all for coming to welcome me. One of the objectives is, as explained by my wife, I am still alive, or I have resurrected, I don’t know which one. “My wife went on to say that, as my wife for 34 years, although, we have known each other for 43 years, she can confirm that this is really me, it is not a clone. Although, that will not stop the rumour in the social media, but that is that. “So, I want to thank you all for coming here. But, I want to confirm that

Pioneer "Sarauniya Beauty Pageant" Dan Hausawa DH Responds to Zarah Zira's "Scam Allegations"

Okay time for some random rants. Disappearing posts! I advise you haters to screenshot it quickly. Rant 1: I don’t have a problem with a disgruntled Ex Queen calling me out or a sore loser from a pageant I use my hard earned money to organize coming online to insult me. If you put yourself out there be ready for the positives and negatives, so I’m good. However, I’m shocked to see people who never cheered me on while I was struggling to put up the event take a mere social media accusation by an angry and bitter woman hook line and sinker. A few people are worthy of mention. My dear Judith Caleb, I had so much respect for you. A strong woman and a budding female blogger.  You never called me to ask if I had a rebuttal or to hear my side of the story. Aren’t you the lady who came by my office a few years ago and I encouraged to keep going and winning in your nascent venture? I remember calling you in 2017 to help out with the pageant on your blog and you never did.
