Lloyd feat. Lil Wayne – Holding

When Lloyd revealed the track list for his new EP Tru, his collaboration with Lil Wayne titled ‘Holding’ stood out the most. That’s because, apart from Lil Wayne’s legendary status in the game, these two have had incredible chemistry in the studio.

The two created magic with the 2006 chart topping hit ‘You‘ but also returned two years later for ‘Girls Around the World‘, one of the singles from Lloyd’s third album, Lessons In Love. Weezy then dropped a guest verse on singer’s 2011 single ‘Dedication To My Ex‘ which featured Andre 3000 as well. The two have now collaborated yet again on the sweet song ‘Holding’ which will definitely remind die hard fans of their past work.

It’s a refreshing end to a feud that first took root in 2015 when Meek launched a campaign that catalyzed the question of ghostwriting that continues to follow Drake around.  It began when Meek took issue with Drake not shouting out Meek’s Dreams Worth More Than Moneyalbum, which was host to the two men’s “R.I.C.O.” collaboration.
